Vitamin E

Vitamin E

FOOD SOURCES:Vitamin E is a fat soluble vitamin which means it is found mostly in foods containing fat such as wheat germ, olive oil, rapeseed oil, seeds and nuts and avocados.

Being fat soluble, vitamin E is stored in our fatty tissues and organs such as the liver.

USES:
Vitamin E is powerful antioxidant that helps prevent fats from oxidising and maintains healthy cell membranes.

Additionally, vitamin E has anti-inflammatory properties and plays an important role in sperm motility.

Red blood cells life span depends on good vitamin E levels.

DEFICIENCY:
Vitamin E deficiency may lead to haemolytic anaemia (caused by the abnormal breakdown of red blood cells), low male fertility and easy bruising. Vitamin C helps recycle vitamin E.
